Soprano / Vocal Trainer
Hülya Kazan Günay completed her undergraduate studies with honors at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and was awarded the "Prof. Dr. İhsan Doğramacı Outstanding Achievement Award." She completed her master's degree at Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts as a student of the renowned soprano Suna Korad. Having served for many years as a faculty member at Ankara University State Conservatory, she currently continues her career as a soloist artist at the Ankara State Opera and Ballet. She has given concerts in Turkey and abroad with numerous orchestras and has contributed to the vocal development of choirs as a voice training specialist.
When we sing, we engage not only the voice but also the body, the breath, and the mind as a whole. In this workshop, through games and coordination exercises, we will relax the body, enhance the mind’s multi-directional thinking skills, and strengthen the mind-body harmony. Following this, through breathing, vocal, and warm-up exercises, we will discover the fundamentals of singing more accurately, freely, and effortlessly.
Choir Conductor / Academician
Dr. Mete Gökçe completed his undergraduate studies in Music Education at Gazi University and earned his master's degree in Choral Conducting from Chukurova University State Conservatory. He completed his doctoral studies in Choral Conducting and Education at Sofia Saint Kliment Ohridski University upon the invitation of the world-renowned Bulgarian conductor Prof. Dr. Hristo Nedyalkalov. He is currently a faculty member at the State Conservatory and Fine Arts Education Department of CHOMU.
ESKİŞEHİR INTERNATIONAL POLYPHONIC CHOIR FESTIVAL
FESTIVAL WORKSHOP CHOIR (30 October - 1 November 2026)
WORKSHOP CHOIR CONDUCTOR: DR. METE GÖKÇE
The Festival Workshop Choir, consisting of choir conductors, music teachers, choristers, and music students, will engage in practical studies throughout the festival in the fields of choral conducting, choral performance, and choral pedagogy.
The workshop activities, based on a selected repertoire, will focus on contemporary and effective approaches to choral education, the development of ensemble unity and choral sound, staging techniques, musical interpretation processes, as well as the artistic perspective of the conductor and the culture of collaborative music-making.
The knowledge and experience gained throughout the workshop process will be shared with the audience during the festival’s closing concert through the performance of the prepared repertoire.
The Festival Workshop Choir will create a unique artistic environment that brings together festival choir members, choir conductors, music teachers, and music students interested in the choral field, fostering interaction, exchange, and a culture of collective artistic production.
Reflecting the festival’s philosophy of “we” rather than “I,” this special gathering will unite diverse experiences and voices around a shared musical purpose.
